ABOUT THE ATLAS

A map through
stories and meaning.

Korean Folklore Atlas brings traditional Korean stories into clear modern English and connects them to the objects, places, and beings inside them.

What we make

We publish faithful retellings, carefully labeled visual interpretations, and short cultural notes. Our aim is to help curious readers follow a story and understand the details it carries.

How we work

We keep a selected telling distinct from other recorded variants and from modern popular culture. We identify uncertainty instead of filling it with invented detail.

Korean Folklore Atlas is an independent project operated by fastmango.
